| Notes |
- It is believed that Carmelo Catena traveled to America in 1907. He is listed as a passenger on the Hamburg, traveling from Naples and arriving in New York on 17 Feb 1907. He was single, male, age 16. He travelled to see his brothers Nunzio & Pietro Catena, both located at 28 Mulberry St. in New York. Carmelo did not stay in America. A letter from brother Pietro in 1956 during his return visit to Ficarra, mentions a deceased brother, but no name is mentioned. It is assumed that Pietro was refering to Carmelo. Carmelo died from a sore throat before the discovery of penicillin at the age of 39.
